The Deep River and District Hospital is hoping to “revitalize” its physician recruitment program with new contributions from its municipal partners – Deep River, Laurentian Hills, and the townships of Head, Clara and Maria.
In a letter this month to the heads of all three municipal councils, hospital CEO Richard Bedard says the three municipalities have “a long history of working closely with the Deep River and District Hospital.”
Bedard notes that all of the physicians currently working as part of the North Renfrew Family Health Team were found through the physician recruitment program.
“In an effort to continue recruiting quality physicians to our area,” Bedard says, “we are looking to continue and expand this partnership.
“We need to ensure that we remain competitive with other regions in trying to attract physicians, as they are in high demand across the province.”
