MCS wins Grade 7 badminton crown

The Mackenzie Community School Grade 7 badminton team had an amazing day at Fellowes during the regional badminton playoffs recently. 

All members of the team showed exceptional sportsmanship and team spirit throughout the day.

After a very long day, the team placed first overall reclaiming the West Division championship.

Derek Wang was first in boy’s singles. Ezra Klukas and Kurt Zhou were first in boy’s doubles, Baraa Ben Letaifa and Dylan Buyers were second in boy’s doubles, Perrine Thiriet and Alison Chiasson were second in girl’s doubles and Marissa Nelson and Sam Steer were first in mixed doubles.

Every member of the team played hard and their teacher supervisors couldn’t be more proud of them all.
